Have you ever wanted to send a link to someone that directs the recipient to a specific point on a webpage? This article will go over exactly how to do that!
When one sends a regular URL (such as ocabaltimore.org), whoever clicks on the URL will be taken to the top of the page. However, you can create a unique link that directs the person to specific text on the page. Here's how:
- Highlight the text that you want the person to see
- Right click on the highlighted text.
- Select "Copy link to highlight"
- Paste the link wherever you need!
A few notes about this trick:
- This works best with standard text on a page, and it will not work as well on interactive elements or on pages with a lot of non-text items.
- This is not available on all browsers. Chrome and Edge both have this feature, but Firefox and Safari do not.
